So what do you all think of the pellet smoker craze? is it good to go or just a phase?

I know this may not be the correct place to post... but was thinking this would get the most traffic and discussion?

Never used one, probably won't rush out and buy one.
We were at an open house at a new local high end RV dealer (as in $699000 for a camper) a couple weeks ago. They had a Trager going smoking up some pork tenderloins for samples and it sure smelled good.
Didn't get a sample but it hit the right button.

I have a Cookshack PG-500 I use just about every night during the week. It's great for a burger, steak, chop, and anything grilled. It's quick & easy for a one person meal in a short period of time. It also does a great job on chicken wings in about 45 minutes. But on the weekends, it's all about my Backwoods or my Good-Ones for real BBQ.
