    Default DIY: Japanese Konro Grill For Yakitori!!

    Just finished up my home built Japanese Konro Grill. Made the grate adjustable.

    Are you taking orders?

    What all do you cook yakitori? Do you do frog uteri and weird stuff like that?

    This is my first build, I have two more cut and bent.

    Breaking this protype in tonight with skewers of scallops, shrimp, beef filet, peppers, onion, pineapple, mushrooms, etc...

    Thanks! Yeah, it's been a while since I skewered anything.

    Box got hot, mostly all the heat at the top. Surprisingly it didn't seem to radiate a whole lot of heat from the sides.

    I ended up wearing welding gloves near the end to turn the skewers and glaze the veggies.

    Will have to be in the winter, lol.

    Actually, I think I'll get the most use out of it using it like a mini charcoal grill. Instead of hassling with a charcoal grill just to grill a few veggies ad steaks I'll fire the Konro up.
