    Default Keri's Hog-Apple Baked beans

    3 or 4 slices of bacon ,diced
    2(28oz) cans of bush's baked beans mostly drained
    1/2 cup blues hog BBQ sauce(Or other sweet - spicy favorite)
    1lb smoked leftover pork or beef,or 1lb crumpled pork sausage
    1 can apple pie filling(chop it up some)
    1 med onion,chopped
    1/2 green pepper,chopped
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 tbsp. mustard(prepared)
    1tsp chipotle or cayenne powder or to taste
    1tsp blues hog rub or your favorite


    Brown bacon and sauté onion and green pepper in grease.Mix in remaining ingredients.Bake at 325 for 1 hour on smoker or oven or can simmer on stovetop for 30 minutes if you don't have time.

    These beans are one of my all time favorites. Works real good with peach pie filling too. I may have to work up a batch later today. Thanks for the reminder Paul.

    Says it serves twelve.I do mine in the crockpot some times then leave it on warm so guests can serve themselves right out of it and saves me grill space.They taste better as leftovers in my opinion.
