Default Wood and Where to get it.

I was not sure where to post the ? so I hope this is the right place.

I was wondering where every gets their wood from. I would like to try experimenting with different woods.

So far I have bought wood from walmart only. I would like to know if there would be any were else I can buy from.

If any one has some ideas I am all ears. But I do live in the middle of Idaho so I do not have many choices.

    Thanks!

Keep an eye on craigslist.org. If you have a Ace/Westlake around, they have bags of chunks too.

Check out any place that sell smokers. Also Academy Sports usually has bags of various wood types.

never bought but ebay has quite a selection. Put the word out that your Qing and the wood just tends to land at your feet really. Got a whole back shed of cherry, white oak, and bit of hickory with more coming. Little work, lot of reward.

Around here you ab also check with grass suppliers. Arlington grass sells 40lb bags of splits cheap. Mesquite, oak, hickory, pecan less than 15 a bag. Might check some of your local suppliers too.
