    Very nice basket!!

Cut the legs down to 3" and add a nice long handle!

I don't know what the actual temp is, but it cooks the way I want it to, so I don't guess it really matters.

Bubba, the reason why the legs are 5 inches long, is because the daisy wheel on VDS is about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom, so i figured the air draft is around 3" from the bottom of the basket, and also, that's what i ment about the REO-BAR, a long t-bar handle...hehehehe

Looks Great Auzzie!! Tell your brother he done good. Now let's get that bad boy to work. I like the mesh style too. Most of us use the expanded metal, but that looks like it will hold up great too.

    Thanks for sharing

Hi pigcircles, yeah, it will hold up for a long time, my brother said he had troubles bending the mesh around to weld it up...thats strong, it looks flimsy, but trust me, it is very tuff to bend.....hehehehe

I'm sure it is tough to bend. With it being stainless, it will give you many years of service. Let us know when you get the handle on. It might not be too late to get your brother to put on a stainless one .

Bring pics when it gets finished the way you want it.
