Default starting on my new smoker

well ill be starting on my new smoker next weekend the cooking area is gonna be made out of a 200 gal oil drum and the fire box is gonna be a 100 lb propane tank that is gonna be mounted directly above it its gonna be mounted on a boat trailer what i havent decide yet is if i should have the smoker faced to the front of the trailer so i can put a floor in it and use it as a work area or face it to be off the rear where i can walk around on the ground to work. if i mount forward facing i would have to get on my knees or raise the cooker up high just to load the fire box but if i put it rear facing it would be about th right hot but what could i put on the front of the trailer to take up all the room
