Big Green Egg
Went to a Home Show over the weekend and was looking at a Big Green Egg on display there. Now I'm kicking around the idea of getting one. Anybody got any pros & cons ? It's a lot of $$$$, need to know if its worth it.

Great cookers. Lots of accessories for them. They can be used to smoke Low & Slow or grill at high temps. They turn out great food.

I agree , I have one on my bucket list!

Never owned or cooked on a Kamado myself. I've heard nothing but good about Green Egg and Primos.
My Bro has one of these http://www.grillsdirect.com/kamado-a...ionalcover.cfm and he loves it. They go for 3 bills or less at Lowe's and Kroger. He got his at Kroger when the end-of-summer markdowns kicked in. $149.95.
It's a cheaper alternative if you want to save some $.

I too have been kicking the idea around.

I've never had a BGE cause I like something more portable. My thinking would be that a ceramic cooker would be too heavy and fragile for me. Maybe if I could afford to have a full stable of smokers it could be my 'stay at home' unit. They do sound very versatile. Just my
