    Cool Big Green Egg

Went to a Home Show over the weekend and was looking at a Big Green Egg on display there. Now I'm kicking around the idea of getting one. Anybody got any pros & cons ? It's a lot of $$$$, need to know if its worth it.

Great cookers. Lots of accessories for them. They can be used to smoke Low & Slow or grill at high temps. They turn out great food.

I also agree! I have one on my deck and in my signature

I think it's worth every penny, easy to use, very efficient and it can cook low and slow or hot and fast. My only complaint is that it still hasn't quenched my longing for a big 'ole stick burner.

Never owned or cooked on a Kamado myself. I've heard nothing but good about Green Egg and Primos.

My Bro has one of these http://www.grillsdirect.com/kamado-a...ionalcover.cfm and he loves it. They go for 3 bills or less at Lowe's and Kroger. He got his at Kroger when the end-of-summer markdowns kicked in. $149.95.

It's a cheaper alternative if you want to save some $.

    Cool

South Cheektowaga here, bout 5 min. from Sloan. I hit up Sloan Market for my meat quite a bit. They got the best spares there. There briskets have been a little on the fatty side. Picked up a 22# brisket and ended up trimming off 8# of fat !
