Is it safe to use wood with blight for smoking

Hey guys ive been offered two apple trees to cut down and use in my smoker the guys who land its on isnt sure if the trees have blight or not. Is it safe to use wood with blight for smoking or is this a no no. Ive seen in one thread on a diffrent site someone ask the same question and a couple people said it should be fine but I just wanted to see your guys thoughts on the matter.

After looking it over on a a few sites it appears that it affects the fruit and leaves of the tree mostly. I wouldn't be afraid to use the wood for smoking. Go for it

Awesome I was hoping I would here that becouse with these two trees ill have enough wood to smoke with for the next two years lol and apple/cheery is my fav. Wood to smoke with
