Ok I added 2 chubs of sausage and another thermometer and probe. Make sure you use the correct probe with the thermometer.

I just took this meat out of the frig, and the probe was showing 15*. DOOO!!!!

I am still getting random disconnects from the iGrill.

I started with new batteries, and have changed positions twice with the unit. I am maybe 30' from the unit.

So far my changes have worked well, I still need to buy a charcoal basket to use in it, and temp control unit.

I like the videos Sounds like you've really helped out the efficiency of the unit. Keep the updates coming.

BTW .. don't forget you can put your youtube videos directly in your post. If you go to the Technical How To section you will see the section ... here's a link to the thread:

Posting YouTube Videos in a forum message

Also you can use the "add video" link in the tool bar to add the address for the video to make it even easier.

I ordered a charcoal basket from Horizon smokers for my homemade smoker. My FIL is going to give me his so at least I will have that ready. When I get it I plan to also order a diffuser plate it.

I just about have my smoker dialed in.

Since I moved the iGrill to a new spot it is not disconnecting.

Well the iGrill disconnected again, and this time I had to remove the batteries to reset it.

Then the alarm was beeping, I switched out probes, and I thought that fixed it. I finally had to reset the meat alarm completely to shut it off.

I was reading a review on the iGrill .. seems there might be a problem with defective units. I would call or contact someone about your connectivity problems. It costs too much to deal with a possible defective product.

    Here's one REVIEW <-- clicky linky --

I am sitting in the living room in my Lazy boy and if I sit the iGrill in my lap it will disconnect, but if I sit it on the arm of the couch next to me it works fine.

I have my iPad in my lap as well, that my be what is causing it. I tuned off the Bluetooth on the iPad and it didn't make any difference.
