    Default I had Always Hoped

That I would never have need to post in this forum, but today, that hope has come to an end.

It is with very heavy heart that I tell all of you that my lovely wife of 33 years, who many of you know as The Okette, has been diagnosed with moderate stage Multiple Myeloma. This is a cancer of the bone marrow platelets.

She started chemotherapy today. With the best of luck, she will undergo chemo for 4 or 5 months and then be evaluated for candidacy as a stem cell recipient. If she is lucky enough to respond well to the chemo and get the stem cell transplant, the odds are in her favor. If not, the odds are not good.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We will miss her very much if we lose her.

So sorry to hear, Tim. I'm not on here a lot but just happened to stop in, only to hear this sad news. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed that everything turns out OK.
