    Default Goin' Pro

Long story short, I left my job at a major computer manufacturer July 1, and decided to go pro with my outdoor cooking. Permits and such are now in hand, so it is time to start telling the world what I am up to.

I have a website at http://www.smokewhispererbbq.com that I just created over the weekend. I would appreciate any and all feedback on the site.

You will notice that on that site I am also promoting a steamed hot dog cart. At some time in August I got exasperated with the permit process with our health dept. for catering BBQ, and switched to doing hot dogs just to get some cash flowing. Turns out having the hot dog cart permit gave me an inside line on a commercial kitchen / commissary that would not talk to me as an occasional caterer of BBQ, so now all of the BBQ catering permits are falling into place.

OK John, I know what to put in your Xmas stocking this year. That's definitely the top end of my menu.

What a great life change for you!

You havew a very nice site as well.

I do have a couple suggestions for you. I missed your menus button and would not have seen your menu options if Vermin hadn't mentioned reading the menu. You might want to do something to accentuate it.

I also think that if you removed the word I and replaced it with we wherever it occurs, it would give you a more professional appearance.

Best of luck to you. I think you will do well.

Totally awesome OB! I wish you only the best ... And with your skills you should have no problem building a client base.

As you build your website you may want to work on making your descriptions linked to individual descriptions with a picture of the food.

Replacing I with we is a must tho. People want the perception of a group that can handle their demands.

Looking great so far and so early. Please keep us posted as you grow.

Exactly the type of feedback we are looking for, Thanks Tim!
