    Default 18.5" WSM purchase

I am getting ready to buy an 18.5" WSM and was wondering if the standard price is ALWAYS $299 or if they ever go on sale. If they are on sale from some internet place that someone knows of, is the shipping going to offset the sale price?

Everywhere I've looked, $299 is the standard. Anybody see anything else? As for me, if that is the fixed price, I'll just do it off amazon.

    Thank you in advance.

Ace Hardware carries them and a lot of the time they put them on sale toward the end of the summer season. Yo might check around town. You will pay tax, but not freight.

If you can pony up an extra $100, you would be much happier with a 22 1/2" WSM.

OR, for around $125.00, you could build a drum.

What's your thoughts on the 22.5, other than size? I've heard they're tempermental with maintaining temp and eat fuel like a tractor trailer.

I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for your tips.
