    Default Newbie Mike

Just joined the "Forum" and looking forward to some sage advice. I am cooking on a Weber "Genises" and havve been luckey enough to have purchased a Traeger "Lil Tex" from a good friend. He wanted to "trade-up".

Had my first "rib smoke" last Sunday, using the "Lil Tex", and nothing but accolades from those eating. "You didn't over cook the ribs this time"!

Obviousley I am in need of advice for both units and that is why I have joined your "Forum". My "Q'uing" and "smoking" are basic and sometimes non existent.

    I want to improve!

You'll like the Traeger. I've had one a few yrs now, and got a Lou whole hog.......love the pellets.

Welcome to the site, I'm not here much but I could smell a pellet muncher comming!

Digital controler or low-med-high? Get the digital, you'll be happy.

Listen to these guys, they know their stuff. Great people here too.

I have the "smoke-med-high". I know that the Digital is available but have not looked into it.

    Easy to install?

Hi Mike! Welcome to The Joint. Glad to have you with us. Looking forward to your posts. I don't know anything about the pellet smokers except I love to give Big Al a hard time about em.
