    Default Ribeye Roast

FIRST - I use PhotoBucket for posting pics here, it was not working, some sort of JAVA issue. So, what you see is what you get.
NOW - Went snorkling through the freezer and harpooned a hunka ribeye roast, 2.25 lb. end piece. It appealed so I thawed it. Trussed it and applied EVOO and rub. I generally make a herb paste but had no fresh herbs on hand, sooo........
It went on the drum at 280F for right at an hour and came off a nice rare/medium rare after it rested under foil for a bit.
Nothing fancy, had some 25 cent an ear sweet corn that was the absolute best we have had all summer. And a salad and tater. And a glass of St. James Catawba wine.
    Good eats Maynard!!!
    Here ya go -

    Looks fantastic!

Hey Mike, what type of setup are you using on your drum? Do you have a heat deflector or do you cook direct?

I cook direct, that's the way the drum smoker was designed. And it does a great job. I built mine to be a BDS clone, it was the first drum here on The Joint.
My only mod is the addition of a GURU for temp. control.
