Green onions

This might be old news but its new to me so I thought I would throw it out there.

Take your green onions and cut them where they start to turn green and plant the white part. In a week you should have some more green onions.

I planted these 10 days ago but since then the weather has been crappy and cold so they haven't done so well.


10 days later


These I just put in some water 7 days ago and placed them on a window sill indoors.

OK, so I'm dense.

If you already have green onions, why would you want to cut them off just to grow more of the same. I mean, why would you not just eat them as they are.

I'll go out on a limb and make the assumption that they produce at a greater than 1 to 1 ratio.

If not, yeah, F it.........eat them. LOL

Every time you cut the tops of the onion they grow back
