    Default Plum Wood??????

I have some butt's on the smoker today. A buddy gave me some Plum wood a while back so I thought I would try it. My wife said that the smoker smell's funny this time! Is it the wood? Anyone ever use Plum wood?

    Thanks,

    antny

I have used plum and had good results. I wonder if funny might just mean different.

Did you cook a clown with plum wood?? That might make it smell funny.

Smelling funny will take some clarification. Like Tim said, it may just be different but still just fine. If in doubt - clean it out and re-season.

Well guy's, considering it was my wife that said " smells funny " there is no telling what that could mean......

Butt's & Ribs are done, cut and pulled. Color is a bit darker with the plum and it did smell different but I have to say this could be some of my best, non competition work.

Plum wood is ok by me..

    Thanks
