Default I've never felt an earthquake.

Till last night. We were laying in bed and just finished the news after OSU finally put Kansas state away. The news girl was talking about the quake yesterday morning when the walls started shaking, windows rattled, ceiling fan rocked back and forth. Nothing else moved and it was over in less than ten seconds. this morning they are calling it a 5.6. Biggest quake in Ok history.

What the heck? We had a record breaking snowfall and low temps this winter, record heat and near record drought this summer, and now we have some friggen earthquakes? It was only minor, but I hope I never have to experience one again.

Looks like the center was around the toll gate on the turnpike.
Makes me think I don't wanna leave a car on the lift all night anymore.

What happened her lasted a lot longer than 10 seconds. the main part was prolly only that long, but it continued to tremble for abotu a minute after that.

Then there was another aftershock of over 4 around 3:30.

They said it was felt as far away as Chicago, so you prolly felt it too.

Yep, was felt north of Sedalia Missouri as well. Our house shook and there was no doubt what it was. Looks like you OK guys have been shaking all day. Hope everyone is safe.

I hate earthquakes, I actually moved after the 1989 Loma Prieta quake as it completely freaked me out.

Thanks for the link Josh. We haven't felt anything here since last night, but I understand that the folks over around sparks have been feeling it all day. that's about 60 miles SW of me.

They reported a major tsunami on Keystone Lake, and there was extensive damage at the Etch A Sketch Art Gallery.
