    Default OK Joes Resturant

This is directed to the NE OK members. Do you guys know anything about the Oklahoma Joes BBQ Resturant going in by Bass Pro in Broken Arrow? Its in the building that Runts BBQ was in before they went out of business.

Any Idea when it opens? We could have a QJoint lunch and critique it.

If they run it like they run the KC store, it will be pretty good. I'm glad to hear about it.

The sign on the building says "in the fall" and there's a truck or a vehicle there occaisionally. I'm just glad something is going in there 'cause I live close to it. We didn't eat lots of BarBQue at Runts, but the catfish was very good. That location probably cost enough that you have to sell a bunch of BarBQue, but they sure have the traffic next to Bass Pro. If they put a date on the sign I'll shout. I'd like to meet some of the TQJ guys.

Sounds like a deal. Runts BBQ was mediocre at best. I gave them 2 chances and they failed ot produce, not only that, but their prices were out of line with what they served.

I would sure like to see a few more choices in BA.

A TQJ Lunch would be cool...there are enough of you Okies in that area that you could run them out of Q.

Kevin is doing fine. His new job keeps him very busy. He pops in from time to time.

Take an American Royal competition BBQ team to OK Joe's for lunch (at their request) and then listen to the critiques.

I'll say there is plenty better que in KC than OK Joes. It's a lot like KC Masterpiece was, que for the masses. It's "OK". Not exciting, but "OK".
And there is better que in Tulsa also.

Any competition team will find fault with any BBQ joint. Hell, they will even find fault with their own stuff.

Remember too MIke, competition food is not "Eating Food". Good comp Q is too rich to make a meal of.

While there are indeed two or three Q joints in the Tulsa area that produce edible Q, I found OK JOe's in KC to be pretty good and I will be glad to have them this close to home if they do as well here as they do there.
