While rooting around in the deep freeze for something to smoke, I found that we had a surplus of Johnsonville sweet Italian sausage hidden in the frost. I have intended to try a pizza fatty since forever so I decided that now was the time, and well Bubba, here's the proof:

2# Italian sausage rolled flat and dressed. I used shrooms, pepperoni, bell pepper, gypsy pepper, onion, black olives and cheese.

Rolled it up in plastic to smooth, then unwrapped and topped with pepperoni

A little while in the Backwoods @ 250 and an internal of 160

Here's a slice

Grilled some Garlic oiled bread, slathered with homemade pizza sauce, added the slice, then more sauce, then cheese.

The yellow green pepper in the last photo. It's a little like a banana pepper, sweet/ no heat.

Hmmm.....guess I learned something new today. Did't know if that was just a politically incorrect term for a certain pepper or just the common name.

You know me and my abhorrence of political correctness.:roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0:

Sorry, I guess I didn't understand the question. That is the name of the hybrid. Want some seeds?

They aren't really one of my faves. I like a denser, thicker walled fruit, but I let the pepper guy talk me into growing them.

I think they'd make great pepperoncini though.

My first reaction was to say "yes", but I know they would sit around for a while and eventually get pitched.........then I would feel guilty everytime I read one of your posts and I don't need that hanging over my head.
