Fish "other thatn crappie" was requested for tonight's dinner. I found a tuna loin that had been in the freezer for about a year and decided it needed to be eaten.

I marinated it in some olive and sesame oil with a little garlic then gave it a liberal dose of Seafood Splash and allowed it to macerate for about 20 minutes, then gave it about 2 minutes per side. If I don;t mind saying so, it came out just about perfect. Hope you enjoy the view:

And on the plate with some beefy pilaf and braised Swiss chard.

I just read your post about the cod
Okie.
Thanks for the kudos.
I agree with you on the batter.
Only like it on Cod, Whitefish, and a few other fish,
On my fresh caught fillets,(Walleye, Crappie, Bluegill, Northern Pike, etc.) a crispy cornmeal/flour breading is
what goes on if frying.

I damn near bought some yesterday at RD, but didn't know how soon I would get to it and didn't want to put it in the freezer.

I wish I would have just grabbed it. Looks good.

This had been in the freezer for about a year. A friend brought it back from the gulf last spring. I really couldn't tell it had ever been frozen.
