Man, that sucks bilge!

How long have you had it? My doc tells me I had it once, but I never knew it.

I got a pneumonia shot a couple years back just to make sure I don;t get it again, but then I hear that it only prevents one type.:exasper:

Day 9. Drugs are working. Don't have the bad pain in my lungs any more. Still cough a lot. Think I pulled a muscle in my chest. I give out pretty quick if I get around much though. I was DOWN three days.
Doc said "This is gonna hurt", mixed the giant antibiotic injection 50-50 with lidocane. It did. I'm still sittin' light on the right side.

There are over 80 types of pneumonicoccus bacteria. The vaccine covers 23 of them and needs to be renewed each year. Those 65 or older should get it.

Glad you're doing better Mike. Was gonna call ya on the way home yesterday, but got side tracked by another call. Sit light and keep up the fight. Been fighting off the chest crud myself.

I was hospitalized 10 days for the big P when I was 7 or 8 years old. The daily "Bee stings" are still quite fresh in my mind 45 years later.

Glad you are a little better, be prepared for some good days and bad days going forward. It could be a month or more before you are really "better", so hang in there!

I must have gotten a different vaccine. I tried to get another one this year and was told that I couldn't and shouldn't for 5 years. that kinda sucks cuz how the he11 are you supposed to remember which year you got it?
