Neither Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor Winter, Nor Dark Of Night shall keep me from cookin' with my Dutch Oven.

Parchment paper and onion slices in 10" Dutch Oven.

Marinade and 20 garlic cloves.

2 Lb Round Roast has been marinaded for 2 hours.

Wine and beef broth.

Pre-warm Dutch Oven lid.

Dutch Oven in the fireplace.

7 Sam's Choice briquettes below and 14 above for a 10" oven. Now we're cookin'.

3 hours later....it's done. With carrots and celery.

Sliced and ready to eat.

Tender. Fallin' apart good. Gravy made from the broth.

Recipe from Sunny Anderson on Food Network.

I got what I think is the same DO over the holiday, did a dump cake in it but that's it so far.

What's the parchment paper for?

What's the parchment paper for?

Keeps meat and other things from sticking to bottom of Dutch Oven. Well worth the small effort to cut out a circle of it.

I don't quite get the wording on the rim of your bowl(last pic), but has to do w/meat and flowering plants or something like that. But who really cares when you have an excellent look'n meat & veg like that!:thumbs up:

Looks great!:thumbs up:

I saw her do that.

Those Sam's Choice briquettes are nice fat dudes huh? I like them for camping duty.

Oh, and next time you rustle up some grub of this caliber give me a call, I'll be there by the time it's done. Easy run down 71 (soon to be I49). Pigcicles will be there too if he's not makin' shingles.
Just tryin' to help out any way we can. :msn-wink:
