I have this scrapped air tank:

Guy I know has a plasma cutter and says he can slice it in two lengthwise with the greatest of ease.
I don't have the exact measurements handy, but it's about 18" in diameter, by 48" or so.
There are two threaded plugged holes, about 2-1/2" I guess, that would be for two threaded pipe exhausts. Should I have the tank cut so that these openings are directly on top, or at 45 degrees to the center line cut, so they leave the rear of the top at an angle, and go to a verticle stack via a threaded nipple/elbow/threaded pipe arrangement?
Any other thoughts, advice appreciated!
