Haven't had much time to be on the computer much lately due to work, finally got a chance to slow down this week end and the wife was off as well. We opted for snackie weekend instead of our usual one day....lol.

Oh, and educate me about the "rice cakes". I'm totally ignorant.

No sandbagging here, just got a 3 day weekend off with the wife and we both love to cook! (well, I do have a turkey meatloaf but that's another post. Coming up!)

The rice cakes are easy and delicious.

2 cups cooked jasmine rice (cooled)
2 teaspoons sugar
a decent sprinkle of salt
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

Gently work the ingredients into the rice. Form into whatever shape you desire, I use a musubi press to get he rectangles. Coat the top and bottom with sesame seeds and pan fry until golden. We came across this recipe years ago and absolutely love them. Whenever we make Ahi, he have them.

Outstanding looking food. You really need to get a better camera though, your current one is not doing your food justice.

What I need to do is actually plan to take pictures and get out the camera, I always use my phone since it's in my pocket and has a photobucket app so I can upload directly with it.
