When you are on you 10th day of not smoking you tend to do alot of reading, my favorite is cook books. So been finding things we should try and this one came up. Sublime Smoke recipe again, jazzed up a bit of course!:msn-wink:

First is a couple new additions to the Chargrilled Family, introducing:

now for the food, finally!!!
Smoked the 2 trout and went through them bones. Added to already frying taters and onion with herbs and butter. Little half and half and an egg and you got hash with trout, pretty good.

Boy did you screw up Trav, you got that phony Guru site that sells the Chinese knock offs. You can tell by the plug on the temp probe lead.

What did you do to set up the adaptor? It looks different than the standard bulkhead inducer.

I need a detailed report of the GURU on Doreen. (And your drum) Will do brother, the report so far on the drum is that I had to choke her way down 1/4 open and rarely did I even use the fan cause the drum is so efficent and kinda just goes with the show. There were LARGE temp differences between the tel tru and the guru that I am getting ironed out. Now I can do cluckers without crackin the lid!!:cheer:

25 CFM! On the drum you gotta choke that thing down pretty good. Way down, sometimes closed!!!

Oh, and interesting hash! :D

Nice knife, too! :sign0092:

What did you do to set up the adaptor? It looks different than the standard bulkhead inducer. Went to hardware store to get a large open machine washer and plumbing dept to get a large O ring to as I can attach it to one of the 3 slide air intakes in my stick burner. Now just gotta get a fire going, stuff foil in the other 2 intakes and put the guru in the open air intake. The opening was 2" so I had to get the washer to close off around the bulkhead inducer. If I had another of those sheetmetal nuts they supply with the adaptor I would be in like flint, but this should work.

this may make better sense, here is my firebox.

I am going for the far right hole as the middle is blocked by the slide handle and I always build my fire in the rear corner by the chamber, seems to burn hotter and more even temps there. With the fan in that position it will be blowing approx 2 inches below and directly toward where my fire is.

Why don't you just make a new plate and cut the correct sized hole in the correct plate. that way, you could just change out the slide depending on which way you wanted to run it.

So maybe in the future.:blushing:
