CONGRATULATIONS TIM :woohoo:Looks great and should do you good in comps or what ever or when ever you fire it up. It looks like it will hold enough food to feed an army, now when are you going to INVITE the "Q" Joint membership over.?? :msn-wink:

Next addition is a truck load of lumber to enlarge his deck. He's already done away with the furniture, it's all smokers and grills.
And he's kickin' Lucille to the curb with a for sale sign on her soon as he can get a forklift or crane large enough to pick her up. :exasper:

Nice toy tho. But you're getting lazy. Pellet pooper. Who'da ever thought?
And after all those bad things poor Big Al had to endure. :blushing:

Right smart lookin smoker stud. Now that it's used I'll give ya $200 for it. Can't be worth much more since it's a pellet pooper ya know :D

Very good lookin smoker Tim. It will turn out some very good eats although I suspect the operator will most likely overcook most of the food :msn-wink:

Congrats on the new member to the SmokyOkie village of smokers.

Have you added a stack and cap to your FEC 100 yet ?

SmokyOkie

Not yet. Don;t know if I will. Is there any benefit to it other than directing heat?

I'm trying to get the smoke circulation more even by applying some back pressure thru the use of the stack and cap. However I have to be careful it doesn't go back up the auger end. We have two of these, one with, one without a pipe/cap. The one with does a better job at coverage thru the whole cooker. Only other difference is that the one with a pipe also has the external cover from CS. Still experimenting.
Thanks for the reply. :thumbs up:

I bought a 5" elbpw for it and i absolutely could not get it to fit on the exhaust. Is there a trick to it?

It got a good run yesterday. I did a butt, a brisket, 4 slabs of spares and about 10# of bologna and sausage. I put the smoke on it with Lucille, and nothing went in it until it was wrapped.

I didn't want to have to clean it up before I leave for Illinois later this week.

We used a 5" elbow from a semi truck exhaust and then added a 24" stack on to that. The cap went on top. No trouble with getting it all done. The elbow had an expanded end that slipped right onto the cooker pipe.

I cover my drip trays and catch pans with heavy foil. All I have to do is run the racks thru the dishwasher and change the foil.

I'm not yet a fan of the FEC 100. WAYYY tooo much maint for me. I'll use my 40" MB's long before I turn on the FEC 100.

Can't do comps with the MBs though.

I dropped a disposable hotel pan in the catch pan. No clean up at all.

do you prefer the MBs over Cookshacks?

I love both the CS's and the MB's. We have (2)205's, (1)250, and (2) FEC 100's. For convience sake, I will use the MB's first. They are just more user friendly to me. My fav of all the cookers is the 205's. Just to big to clean for 4 racks of ribs or 2 butts.

I'm thinking about selling my FEC instead of installing the pipe/cap on it. I don't much care for it's high maint attitude. Okie you need a FEC 100 with 5 cooks on it ?
