I love my stick burner, but wish it was as easy as the drum to operate. So I had this wild idea. Lets make a basket and use charcoal in it.
I grabbed a peice of expando and cut it into a "T"

Clamped it to a bench and started pounding with a 2lb hammer.

I folded it like a cardboard box and an hour later I had this. No weld, and its held together with only four bolts on the back corners.

Basket fits perfect in the Belfab fire box.

Light it just like the drum

The belfab has enough intake leaks, it held 240 with intake closed and burned unattended for about 7 hrs.:woohoo:

This silly dog has just not got the idea of "fetch". She thinks its called "keep away" from Curt. Just won't bring me the damn ball!

Yep. I was making my abt's and discovered I had no tooth picks. Panic! No, wait! I have skewers! Skewers? Lil smokies? This oughta keep the lil suckers from falling thru the grill.:roflmaoha0:

Sheer bliss Tim. Ran all day at 240. Never even opened the firebox eccept to throw a small pecan split on. Only used 1/2 a bag of Ozark Oak.

I did figure out there are differences in Lil smokies. I used a cheap on sale brand called John Morrell. They weren't really lil smokies, jut lil wienies.:tap:

Okay now that I'm in trouble ... Kewl deal on the 7 hr run in the belfab. You'll be cookin all the time now.

I really like the idea of the chili in the ABT's - I bet it would be "outstanding".

Keep in mind Curt - sometimes there's no substitute for quality.
