Just got my bag of rub and I have some questions. I'm gonna use it on brisket for this weekend and wondered how much do you all put on? This will be for a group from age 12-88. I also wondered about add'n some blk pepper, it just goes so well w/brisket. Should I add some or leave it alone?

Sorry for the questions, I won't have time for a trial and don't want too many problems....but I sure want to use the rub as much as I can. Just taste'n it, it's pretty good stuff. I want to coat the brisket very well and add blk pepper, but just don't know if that is a good idea.

Is that going to be one brisket or 6? Quite a spread in the guest numbers. How do you prepare for that?

Jason if you're doing more than one brisket then put it on heavier one one and lighter on the other and see which you like best.

Personally I would put on a nice layer without over coating - my opinion though.

Why don't you ask David.

I don't think he would add the pepper, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.

Coat it heavy right before cooking and definetly add the pepper! You won't be dissapointed! :D

Coated already, in the fridge "prep'n". Pepper was the plan on one, plain on the other. These are only 9#ers. Also do'n an eye of round. Harvest come'n up.
