View Full Version : Maiden voyage for the Kabob Baskets

I went foraging through the deep freeze last night and found some shrimp, scallops, and some Omaha steaks sirloin (gift) that needed eaten. I also remembered that I had bought some Kabob baskets a while back, and then :lightbulb: I had an idea.

I made a marinade with some home made chipotles, garlic, fresh herbs, and EVOO. Then soaked it alll down, and here's the pix so that Bubba can't say it didn't happen:

I had bought the baskets so that things wouldn't fall off while grilling as opposed to skewers. Thay worked well for that, but cutting ingredients to the correct size was a little more difficult than for skewers.

Overall, I think we decided that the baskets are keepers. the only thing we forgot was to see how they did @ holding cherry tomatoes.

I have a few of those sitting around that I've never used. I know there's shrimp in the freezer and beef. I'll have to forage through and see what else it hiding in there for tomorrow.

Nice shots and I see you put the Okette to work on the assembly line.

I've seen those racks in the store and wondered if they were worth it. Looks like they did a great job for ya.
