I recently had a friend give me this recipe. I have not made it yet. For one it just makes to much for me and my wife.

I thought I would put it up here to see if anyone wants to take a stab at it and report back.

Old South BBQ Sauce

1 large can of tomato juice and 2 small cans (unsalted if you can)
6 quarts of apple cider vinegar
1 pound of salt
1/2 pound of black pepper
2 teaspoons cayenne
4 tablespoons ground clove
8 teaspoons ground allspice
4 pounds brown sugar

Mix and then cook for at least 6 hours. Bring to a boil and then simmer until done. Take care not to scorch it. When done it should be about 1/3 reduction of the original volume.

It is suppose to keep forever and even improve with age. It makes around 1.5 gallons.

Good luck,
