Can anyone let me know about the rules regarding
the use of Aluminum Foil in comp.

Is it OK to smoke open for 3 hours, Then wrap in foil with liquid
added in side the smoker, mabey finish back on with no foil at the end

Im looking for the rules on this for
Ribs, Briket, pork Butt

I have been told that It is OK for comp.

Yes, it is okay. I can only speak to the rules of KCBS though. Events sanctioned by other organizations may be different.

Foil is a major part of most comp cookers arsenal. :D

:whathesaid: most of the rules will be for how its cooked, like no gas other than for start up purposes. but how you get it there, other than cooking it there seems to by up to the chef.
