View Full Version : Marvelious hush puppies .the best you ever have

2 cups buttermilk corn meal
2 tbsp self rising flour
4 tbsp fine chopped onion
3 tbsp sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg

vegy oil to 350 ,cook till desired color.

Tbsp one at a time into oil .cook 1.5 minutes per side then flip till your liking color.

Sounds good to me. I bet they go well with fish dinners. Thanks for the recipe.

on a side note ... your title reminds me of a little game I play with people on occasion. I will ask someone how they like "whatever they're eating". Usually they say it's good or something on that order. I will reply "Is it the best you ever had?" Usually the first time I get the deer in the headlight look while they process that thought.

Back to the hush puppies now ...

Looks good Steve. Did you ever add creamed corn to the recipe?

I really go for corn fritters, and your recipe looks like it might be good that way. If you have done it, did you have to adjust anything?

yes i have tried cream korn a time er two
just ad 4 tbsp cream korn and 4 tbsp more of korn meal.the consistancy of jelly per say
