I tried injecting the butt this time. I inject everything else why not.
(no bottom of the barrel comments please!)

I used a injection of apple juice and cider vinegar. I forgot to add a little rub to it.

I rubbed and wrapped it 2 days prior.
I have found that injecting when wrapped reduces the mess.

I did slack on taking pics before foiling and after pulling.
The injection experiment went over pretty well it added to good flavor to the meat.
I wonder if finishing sauce would make a good starting sauce. hmmmm:shrug:
I think next time I'll add some to the injection.

I also got to try my new bear paws for pulling. They are the only way to go!:thumbs up:

It was late last night when pulling. So I didn't get a chance to make any Sammie's. I did mange to throw together some breakfast burritos this morning!

:drooling: Pulled pork and a brekfast burrito! Does it get any better?

Looks awesome, Jeremy! Did the pork have a noticable apple-vinegar taste, or was it just a little something to the final meat?

Now I feel a need to get some PP for breakfast.

Glued, I've wondered the same thing about injecting with finishing sauce prior to smoking. Sound like something to try in the future. Steve

Nice job G-man. I always inject them the night before the smoke, along with the rub.
The injection is simple and has water, apple juice,fine ground kosher salt, and worcestershire sauce. Thats all.Makes a huge difference IMO.

Very nice, Jeremy! It's been too long since I have thrown stuff on the smoker. I need to get back to the pit soon. My next expected time to smell smoke.........3/29/08, and with friends. I'm ready!
