I used my little charcoal cooker this weekend to make some venison fajitas. This time I seasoned some venison backstrap steaks with Rooster Booster.
Rubbed the peppers and onions with oil and seasoned with kosher salt and cracked black pepper....

Tim, the Rooster Booster was great on the venison. I liked it even better than fajita seasoning. I'll be trying it on other things soon. Thanks! :thumbs up:

They look very tasty. Never had venison but understand it is tasty.

We may have to do a name change "BAMBI BOOSTER". Not sure how well that will go over .....murdered bambi fajitas. :roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0:

Outstanding presentation, pics, and a wonderful idea for fajitas. :thumbs up: I've used all kinds of meats and seafoods for them but never venison. When I was a kid during the war, money was tight and rationing was in full swing, so we hunted deer, elk, antelope, moose, bear, birds, and extra fish that we stored in a public freezer where we rented 12'x4'x4' spaces. Much like you my Mom made a lot of venison sausage and i can't tell you how many different game dishes she used to make. The only meat that we bought was a ham for the holidays.
Thanks for sharing Jeanie.

Sounds like you ate well while growing up. :) I seem to use a lot of game too. Deer, dove, quail, fish.... Between that and the pork, beef, birds, and shrimp I raise... I don't buy meat often.

I bet your mom had some great recipes!! :thumbs up:
