That looks so good. Dungeness crab is on my list of shellfish I gotta cook.(or reheat anyway) I almost bought some this fall when they were on sale over the net, $10 each for 1.75-2#ers.

Don't want to hijack, but do you clean then steam or do you steam whole? Not many vids on you-tube about dungeness, mostly about blue crabs, guess'n it's all about the same(as far as cook'n and pick'n)

Thanks for the pix.:kewlpics:

You can cook the crab cleaned or whole it just depends on how you like to do it i clean mine most of the time before i cook them sometimes i will cook them whole it just depends on how many i have if i clean them i can get more into the pot
i get them fresh right out of the ocean so i boil them in saltwater i boil them for 20 min i use 1 cup rock salt to 1 gallon of water i use old bay seasoning at times but like the saltwater better
if you buy them in the store you can just steam them they are already cooked no need to boil your just trying to re heat them oh and 10 bucks each is a pretty good price i have seen the guys on the commercial crab boats selling crab for that same price i mostly harvest my own
