How big of a turkey can someone fit in the drum if you spatchcock it?

With a flat lid?

How many inches below the lid is your cooking grate??:shrug: I built some hangers to lower mine by 3" and was going to use a water pan diffuser but came up with a Weber Lid :msn-wink: so I was good to go. I would guess if you have at least 7" you could do 20 lbs.:twocents:

I don't have a drum but as you can see by my other turkey post that it lays quite flat. Don't forget to foil the wing tips to keep them from burning. Good luck.

I would have to think that there would be no prollem doing a 20# Spatchcocked bird on a standard configuration drum.
