Here's a great little dish that is so easy and pleasing to your sweet tooth! When I cook this dish in elk camp it's gone so fast the oven is still too hot to touch!

Ingredients:
(1) stick of butter
(1) box of dry cake yellow mix
(1) Can of your favorite pie filling
(1) 12 oz. can of cream soda

Heat a 10 or 12" Dutch oven over a full bed of coals until the butter sizzles. Coat the walls of the oven with the butter, then drop the remaining butter onto the oven bottom.
Pour and spoon pie filling into the oven. Sprinkle the box of cake mix over the pie filling.
Then pour the can of cream soda over the oven contents.

Cover with oven lid. Position you coals according to your oven size and bake for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Optional variation: During the last 5 minutes of cooking time you can lift the lid and sprinkle some brown sugar and cinnamon over the cobbler for a sweet topping.
Make sure you serve this desert goodie with your favorite ice cream!
Enjoy!

We call the dump cake around here, we use orange soda instead of the Cream Soda....I'll have totry that variation.

That's not what I know as "Dump Cake" You don't want to know what I think of as dump cake.

Personally, I like the term cobbler better.:roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0:

"Dump Cake":smack::roflmaoha0: I'll just have to re-name this recipe!

The orange soda would do great also.

If you use a chocolate cake mix with strawberries or cherries then you use a can of Coca-Cola!
