I didn't like having to completely disassemble the Tejas to clean out the grease,so I cut the grate in half and cleaned the bottom.Now I can access my plates when needed too. I don't use a pan , so the drippings hit the plates and make flavor for me. Only thing is , it leaves a mess on the bottom of the smoker.
I've been wanting to show my tuning plates, now I can...

I was looking at the tejas 2040CC model. any feedback on it?
