Good call... should be priced nicely right now, too.

If you can afford a separate vehicle just to pull your BBQ trailer.

I can when I trade the ridgeline in on it plus with a diesel I can go with high miler compared to regular passenger cars. International motors aren't even broke in until they hit 100k.

That would be a deal. I just don't want to have to drive a 3/4 ton diesel around on a regular basis. If I had 35K sitting around, I wouldn't mind having it for trailering, etc.

35k :) , me and you think on 2 totally different dimensions. I'm thinking 15k at most lol. You must remember I need to make it affordable to quit my job to do this full time. I am making money at it, I am just losing out on bigger jobs. I am sick and tired of the 75 person gig.

That's what I am looking to do, we should get together sometime so I can pick your brain about how you are getting business.

Tim has no faith in me. The part i'm sick of is doing the small jobs. Lots of work for 600 bucks. A bigger job will net larger profits for the same work. Of course that means a bigger smoker and I found a Ole hickory for 5k. I could cook 400 lbs of meat at one time. Instead of 70 lbs in the bw's and 70 in ironsides. Of course 70 is about a party of 100 but I have a party of 300 coming up and need something bigger.

Are you talking about Morgans rig out in Claremore? I haven't seen it, but I've heard it's nice. Trailer mounted and all.

To my knowledge, it's not. A guy from work told me about it when he came from lunch today.

From my understanding, it's about 48" diameter, and about 8' or 10' long (cooking chamber). I'll take a look at it Monday on my lunch break. Pictures too, if I remember to take the camera.

You're talking a totally different animal than I am there with that one. That's a dandy! I must have derailed and thought you wanted something different.

What is a "cto"?

Ole hickory had tjeir demo unit for sale for around $18k. Fully wire, full lighting and an EL-ED/X.

It was like trailer and all for less that the price of the smoker.

that was a couple months ago. I don't know if they still have it or not.

I would have jumped on it if I were wanting to do what you are, but I wasn't. It may well be too late, but you never know.

I bet they'll have another one next year too.
