Decided after I sprayed out the smoker and fired her up to get her dry inside why waste the smoke:shrug:

Threw together a BCC with garlic and herb butter marinade. Soaked it in a ziploc for 1 1/2 hrs. On to the smoker, I filled up the beer can with the leftover butter mix and into a foil pan and on the smoker at 315 or so.

The meat turned out great, REALLY moist and great flavor, I just didnt care for the skin, going to have to raise the temps even more.

Hey Trav, thats exactly what I did yesterday!:wow: I got no pics, so ya can say it never happened.:msn-wink: I even fired up the CG to do it. I didn't use a pan, just put it on the grate. Skin came out brown and crispy.

Looks good, but Old Style?
Reminds me of Harry Cary, back in the 80's for some reason.
Just messing with ya....it looks really good and juicy. I'm going to have to do some chickens soon. I think I have a couple in the freezer....

Trav, did you cook the bird with foil covering it? Wondering because of the pic.

And the Okie told me I gotta come up. Maybe. We'll see.
