I use the Ronco too...
Doesn't make sense to build one for me if mine works the way I want it to. :twocents:

I have one of these (http://www.nesco.com/category_449f7f01f1ea/product_8667b3bd030d/large_view/session_018fa724675b/). It works great, and you can add as many trays as you like. I think I have 7 or 8.

It doesn't do like the other ones I've had. They all burnt the stuff on the bottom try while the top tray was still raw. This one is pretty even.

I wouldn't know where to begin to build one, but I bet the Geek would.

I just purchased one of those Nescos and I use 6 trays does the job of making jerky in 4 hrs. and I do not have to rotate the trays. I add liquid smoke to my marinade and actually is better than in the Bradley smoker. Great machine! Piker

Is that the American Harvest machine? I have one of those. I think it's made by Nesco.

Yes exactly the same. All I have done is jerky but am going to try fruit and veggies. Piker

I have done a lot of tomatoes and peppers. I have only done a little jerky.

I have also done a fair amount of herbs.
