Last night after making the hors d'oeuvres, It was time for dinner.

I started with 2 thick pork chops (seasoned).
Bacon wrapped shrimp on a skewer separated with a slice of mushroom. Then seasoned with some salt and pepper and some Seafood magic.

After searing both sides of the pork chops I moved them to the cool side of the grill,Placed strips of bacon on top and Stuck a probe in them.

Then I grilled the skewers.

It was good eats and we didn't need any stinking veggies.:msn-wink:

:drooling: Those look awesome! How long did you smoke the shrimp?

I want to try those, but I'll have to wait until hubby is away. He's allergic to shellfish. :frusty:

Really nice lookin' grub dooood. :1987_food:

:twocents: For those wanting to grill shrimp the first time -
Shrimp cooks FAST. When they change color they are done, maybe a couple three minutes per side. Any more and they are overcooked.

So if you wait for the bacon to cook, do the shrimps get over cooked?

So if you wait for the bacon to cook, do the shrimps get over cooked?

Personally, I like to use ral thin sliced bacon to wrap seafood just because of that.

If I don't have any thin sliced, I par cook the bacon before wrapping.

So if you wait for the bacon to cook, do the shrimps get over cooked?

Since the bacon completely covers the shrimp, No it doesn't get over cooked.

Plus the bacon is room temp and the shrimp comes strait out of the fridge.:msn-wink:
