heres some short ribs i did in the oven with some onion, lots of garlic, carrots and shrooms. they were smoked w/ mesquite( 1 hr),then simmered in beef broth(1 hr), then tranferred w/ broth to a casserole dish to finish off in the oven(2 hrs).i know its a bit much but i was trying something different with the smoke:msn-wink:. ill usually just braise em and be done with it. let me know how yall feel

My wife does things like that with my smoked meat leftovers. I brought home the left over from the KCBS judging class the other day. Guess what lunch was Sunday. She cut up all the meat and put it in jambalaya. It was good.

Yours looks great. I'd eat it in a heart beat.:thumbs up:

I like the looks of that chow! Can't hardly find short ribs out here. When I find them they cost as much as baby backs.

oh sorry, it was delicious! the light smoke relly gave it a good flavor. i should have posted pics of our plates at the end, but it wasnt as pretty!

you know smokie, i really dont know:shrug: i found a recipe i liked a while back that involved this process and i aint looked back since!
i LOVE short ribs so, any recipes you can share ill probably try.

Gotta say I LIKE me some short ribs! And those look killer!
Also gotta say I'm with the Okie. Smoke them, then transfer to the braise and put the shebang on the smoker to finish. Bet that would tickle your taste buds. :msn-wink:
(NOT saying I would turn down the oven product ya unnerstand) :drooling:
