I smoked some chicken thighs today and decided to use some of them for a pasta dish.

first you melt some butter

then add some flour and make a light roux, then add some cream, 3 cloves of garlic ( run through a press ), dry Italian herb mix, and some green onion ( minced fine ). Bring everything to a boil and then turn down heat and simmer to thicken sauce.

Once the sauce has started to thicken, add chicken and sauted mushrooms to sauce ( forgot to take a pic of shrooms, sauted in butter), turn down heat and let everything slowly heat and blend together.

can't forget the garlic bread with a little Parmesan cheese

using medium egg noodles, but any pasta would do though

pasta hot out of the drainer, added a little butter to melt into the pasta before tossing

served up with some grated Parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper, and the garlic bread.:drooling:

:blushing::blushing: I was just being a smart a$$. I was just implying that perhaps a true purist would not use pre mixed herbs being as when you do, you are accepting someone else's pre determined ratios.

Sorry:blushing:

Tim, I'm sorry I'm not as much of a "true purist" as you.:blushing: We can't all be perfect.

I'll refrain from posting any more of my sub-par cooks in the future.

Don't you dare!!!

My attempt at humor was inappropriate.

You are indeed an accomplished chef and I am envious of your abilities.

If I didn't, I would not have attempted the humor that i did.

That looks excellent! It's surprising how many different meals you can get out of just one chicken. :sign0092:for the Qview.

Tim,

I want to apologize for not catching the humor in your post. :blushing:

As I get older I can be a real grump sometimes.:smack:

As to the part about being a chef. :roflmaoha0::roflmaoha0: A decent cook, maybe, but not even close to being a chef.

I'm just an old farmboy that was lucky enough to learn from some good cooks ( Grandma was a cook and baker for a restaurant ) when I was young and through my travels in life.
I'm always up for learning something new and different. That's one of the great things about these forums, so many people and cooking styles to learn from to be able to improve and expand my cooking knowledge.

Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.:blushing:
