Well I decided it was time to make some bread.

I used Alton Brown's very basic bread recipe. (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/very-basic-bread-recipe/index.html)

I liked this recipe because all of the ingredients have been around for thousands of years.

It uses flour, yeast, honey, salt and water for the bread. I thought that was kind of cool. The only hard part was all the waiting.

Here is the yeast sponge after a night in the chill cheast.

Next we can see the roll out right before the bench proof.

Ready for the heat!

Alright Fred! Can't beat hot homemade bread just out of the oven with some butter and homemade jam or jelly. Or homemade apple butter.
Yum!

It was at a family dinner and was to caught up enjoying the good food. So I forgot to take a pic.

But it was very good. The crust was nice and think.

Thank you!

I thought about that as well while I was making it. I would guess as long as you could hold a steady temperature it would work.

Hmm . . and maybe add jalapenos. . .

"Food" for thought.
