Well, this is the 4th time I have posted this today but it keeps telling me I was not logged in, rrrrrrrrr yes I am. Anyway's.
As you all know pip was set to do her second smoke so she took the smoker and I got the BBQ, that's ok I love my BBQ too. Well it turned out pretty advent full, it was raining and windy, the radio said the winds were up to 70 kph and people were losing power here and there, it wasn't that bad here, but windy and raining for sure stuff was flying off the table etc etc, and if the power went out it didn't matter because everything was to be done outside anyway, I did the bbq sauce inside, but if there was no power it would have been done outside too.
Well heres a picture of some of the ribs I got the pleasure to work with.

Here they are rubbed and coming to room temp, I got to remember not to take the picture not so far back next time
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/000_0347.jpg?t=1223241805
We were using pecan chips this time, we went to get apple but they were out, I wasn't so happy at first, but time was a issue and I'm glad we tried it.
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/000_0350.jpg?t=1223241916
Here I am caught in action by pip cutting and trimming up some of the ribs, I think the zoned out look is because the weather was going from sunny rainy windy sunny, repeat to just crappy later.
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/000_0346.jpg?t=1223242059
Not the best picture of the pretty blue pecan smoke but its the only one I got, I'm going with the wind factor. Because it was smoking more than that, maybe just a crappy picture. Oh well, still a pic so it happened, just not like id like to show LOL

Going on to the Q
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/000_0352.jpg?t=1223242899
Early on in the cook and looking better by the hour.
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1044.jpg?t=1223243021
Did up some bbq sauce to go with
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1042.jpg?t=1223243259
Here they are hours into it I got some BBQ sauce on them now so they must be at least 15 minute or so from coming off
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1051.jpg?t=1223243131
Oh yeah they are looking good
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1053.jpg?t=1223243402
Still loving them, man I love ribs
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1052.jpg?t=1223243502
Here they are while I was moving them around so the bigger pieces were closer to the hot spot and smaller ones further away, I always end up flipping them, but I'm not sure I should as you end up wasting all the love juices that pool on top, is this a no no. (suggestions and comments here especially please) look good though
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1048.jpg?t=1223243635
When I moved them up top to get ready to take them off they were falling off the bone, I took it that those should be test ribs for pip and I, ok we shared with the kids too
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1055.jpg?t=1223243860
I thought I would do you guys proud and give it a try, did up some beans to go with it, check out the steam still coming of them after I took them off the Q
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1065.jpg?t=1223244014
Ribs off and getting ready to tent
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1057.jpg?t=1223244151
The ribs and the beans getting ready to plate
http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/jakeandpippa/100_1068.jpg?t=1223244270
A pic of the plate, I wouldn't have won for plating, noticing all the sauce on the rim, but hey no judges her except our stomachs and believe me it was awesome, a great team effort and it came together nice, josh's (my oldest) friend told his mom how good dinners are here and that "we were like chefs" LOL, she told him to bring her home some, silly boy forgot it though and I think were doing left overs tonight, theres a hockey game and it was pips first day at her new store so I expect to have some hours of communication and question period. I hope you guys enjoyed as much as we did. Thanks for checking it out.

Good looking stuff, Jake. If you re-size your pics in Photobucket to 640X480, the pic fits on the page without scrolling sideways. Just a thought.:msn-wink:

Great lookin stuff Jake! The slab in the first pic closest to you is certainly an odd shaped slab. Do you get them shaped like that all the time?

Bassman, I don't have to scroll side to side to see the whole pix. do you have any idea why you do and I don't?:silly:

i think there was something wrong going on with the site at the time like i said in the begining of my post it was the 4th time i had to post it, and i had to cheat to do it, ie i put it to a email i send all my family then i copy and pasted it, one can only handle doing p/b for 45 min a time so many times and that was try number 4 my patience was gone.

:kewlpics: Great pics, and great food! Congrats! How'd you like the pecan Smoke?

Now, teachable moment here, as my wife would say. What is wrong with this picture (seriously)?

Looking at Pippa out the window while slicing toward the thumb with a presumably sharp knife?.......

Got it in one. Granted, we're looking at a still pic here, but still, nothing ruins a cook session quite like a trip to the ER.

Just be sure you disinfect before the crazy glue. Ask Peculiar Mike about that.

First to Jake: Thous ribs look like some fine eats!

Smokey: I believe it has to do with the resolution your computer is set at. If the pix is 800x600 then you have the page and text around it you would have to have your monitor set to a higher resolution to not have to scroll side to side.

I hear it is a big deal when it comes to designing websites because there is a wide range of monitors, browsers and computer settings.

I have my Laptop set @ 1440x900. I don't remember the settings on my desk top, but I'm fairly sure they are over 1000. that's prolly why .
