Almond Mojo

I used this as a wiping sauce for a grilled steak. Hmmmmm.

Ingredients :
1 tsp Niora pimento flakes
50g (almost 2oz) unsalted, peeled, toasted almonds
tsp cumin
tsp red peppercorns (I used those from Kampot, Cambodia)
tsp oregano
100ml (a little over3fl oz)EVOO
cup water
1 slice of toast
Vinegar and coarse sea salt to taste (I used smoked sea salt)

Mix all of it in a blender until smooth.

Here it is :

And again, a little closer :

Sounds interesting Cal. Have you tried it on steak? Or any other meat? How do you like it?

I tried it by wiping a fork of steak in it and it was super. Did I say a fork ? make that a plural !:thumbs up:

The Niora is hot but not hot enough to take the top of your mouth off. Try it this way first and if it is not hot enough for you, add some hotter pepper flakes. Play with it until you get the hot level that is good for you.
