 I know I'm turning it into something, but I'm trying to figure out what. A cajun microwave? A vertical smokehouse? Maybe turn it sideways, take the bottom off and turn it horizontal for a whole pig smoker? What do you think?

Maybe if you could upload a picture it might strike some ideas. The cajun microwave sounds interesting though.

Cajun microwave = La Caja China

Meat goes inside, top gets covered with burning charcoal, it's an oven.

Thanks for the link, that looks like an amazing way to cook a pig!
I drooled all over my shirt watching the video !

next day : If you have a need to "bake" a pig and don't want "smoke" do the cajachina :twocents:

Yeah. After everything I just went and bought a La Caja Asadora.I figured the wood isn't too thick on the box, and with insulation and sheet metal fabrication it'd be more cost effective to buy one outright. I'll post pics when I can figure out how in the hell to do that. :roflmaoha0: I'm going to keep the box though, eventually I'll turn it into a small vertical smoker. Maybe a cold smoker.

:wow: You bought one!!! We'd sure like to see it and see it in action. :thumbs up:

I'd Turn it in to a Vertical Smoke house complete with and external piped in smoke source.
