Ouuuuu... guess what I just bought !

But first the story..

Earlier this month a local Garden store near me had a sale on a … "something".
Well at 95€ (about $107) it seemed like a deal but not knowing what these things cost, I decided to have a look at prices on the Web to find out if this really was a deal.

I found one from a German seller (I think that they are the manufacturer but am not sure) for 37€99 (a little less than $43) with free shipping – I like free shipping !

At that price, I asked myself, what do I risk so I ordered it on the 12th.

After a few problems with the transporter I finally got it today, the 26th instead of the 17th.

The little lady is not here at the moment so I could put it together in peace.

She does not even know that I ordered it, avoided the "why do you need to buy that ?".

Enough talk, here it is.

Bottom grill removed, just the water pan:

Grill for charcoal with ash basket underneath :

Or if you prefer the commercial photo :

All of those grills look a little flimsy to me and I will have to replace them pretty quickly.

Just can't wait to get it dirty !
Seasoned it with Oak today.

That will make some good BBQ! My first pit 30 yrs ago was very similar to that one. If it's windy you will need a wind break with it.

I had something similar too back in the mid 80s. Done some fine stuff on the Mr Meat Smoker!

That's terrific Cal. I missed this when you posted which means I've probably missed anything cooked on it too. Good find brother.
